Matt Kostelnik’s
Mount Union
team completed another perfect regular season, crushing Marietta 57-0. It was the sixth consecutive shutout, and
seventh overall, for the Purple Raider “D”. In fact, the first team defense has only yielded
one field goal all year as the Raiders outscored their opponents 599-24 for the
year. Matt chipped in against Marietta with three
tackles.
In Saturday’s
other games:

Indiana lost a squeaker to Northwestern, 31-28. Andrew Means had two catches for 30 yards.

Chris
Rau had two tackles as Georgetown’s
season ended with a 45-12 loss to Colgate. Chris finished his sophomore campaign as the Hoya’s
leading tackler with 76 stops on the year.

Mount Union recorded their fifth consecutive
shutout, blanking John Carroll 53-0.
Matt Kostelnik had to tackles and an interception.

Jon
Schroeder had a pair of five yard scoring runs for Ashland in their 62-7 thrashing of Gannon.
The Eagles finish the regular season with a record of eight wins and one loss,
and will meet Central Washington next Saturday
in the first round of the NCAA Division 2 playoffs.

Trey
Stross caught one pass for 13 yards in Iowa’s
31-16 win over Minnesota.
