"Shoremen at
the Next Level"
October 21, 2006
Mount
Union finally found itself in something resembling a football game, and former
Shoreman Matt Kostelnik came up big in a defensive struggle as the Purple
Raiders outlasted Baldwin Wallace 14-0.
Matt led the Raider defense with 11 tackles, including 3 sacks for a
total loss of 28 yards. The junior strong safety also caused a
fumble. In other games :
· Andrew Means caught one ball for 17 yards
as his Indiana Hoosiers were trounced 44-3 by The Ohio State University.
· Jon Schroeder caught one pass for 6 yards
in Ashland’s 38-7 loss to Ferris State.
· Iowa’s Trey Stross made a
touchdown-saving tackle of Michigan return ace Steve Breaston on a kickoff
runback. Trey’s Hawkeyes gave the
Wolverines a run for their money before falling by a 20-6 count.
