Sophomore defensive tackle Derek Fabry had a monster game in 8^th-ranked BW's 31-24 victory over Muskingum. Derek had 9 tackles (6 for losses), 2 sacks, numerous QB hits & hurries, and caused a fumble. He was named defensive player of the game for the 5-0 Yellow Jackets. Senior safety Rick Strauch added one tackle (he probably didn't get many chances since almost nothing was getting past Fabry.)

On a sadder note, Mike D'Andrea's season at Ohio State has been ended by an injury for the second year in a row. After working his tail off last winter to rehab his surgically repaired shoulder, Mike suffered a torn ACL early in the Northwestern game. It's hard to imagine how frustrating this must be for Mike, the Buckeye's starting middle linebacker. Everyone in Shoremen land sends their prayers & best wishes for a full recovery.

In Saturday's other games:

• Zach Lewis caught 3 passes for 24 yards and John Ramsier had four tackles with one sack, but Oberlin remains winless after their 44-17 loss to Wabash College . Shawn Brunner again started at tight end for the Yeomen.
• Jon Schroeder scored on a one-yard run to give Ashland U. a 27-20 lead early in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles couldn't hold off Northern Michigan's rally as they fell by a 35-27 count. Jon finished the day with 55 yards on 12 carries.
• At Mount Union, Jeff Strauch caught a 14 yard touchdown pass and his unbeaten Purple Raiders maintained their #1 ranking with a 49-7 pasting of Kenyon.
• Miami U's offense, featuring Big Dave Rehker at left guard, scored on six straight possessions in the second half to put away Kent 47-27.
• Jesse Cole started on both the kickoff coverage and punt return teams for #8 Florida State. The Seminoles squeaked by Syracuse, 17-13.
