Andrew Means of the Indiana Hoosiers had quite a game Saturday against Illinois. Andrew caught seven passes for 83 yards and even ran a reverse for a five yard gain. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough as The Hoosiers came out on the short end of a 27-14 score.

Andrew is also the starting center fielder on the Hoosiers’ baseball team. Last spring he led the team in hitting with a .369 average and was named second-team All-Big Ten. He was first on the team in steals (29), slugging average (.467), and on base percentage (.397). Way to go, Andrew -- You make everyone proud back here in Shoremen Country!

In Saturday’s games:

· For the second time in his college career, Jon Schroeder scored four touchdowns Saturday to lead his Ashland Eagles to a 54-24 win over Northwood. Jon, who has become the short-yardage specialist for the Eagles, scored on runs of 1, 2, 1, and 2 yards.

· Mount Union safety Matt Kostelnik had an average day (for him) in the Raiders 62-0 shellacking of Muskingum: 8 tackles, of which 5 were for losses and one was a 10 yard sack.

· Sophomore safety Chris Rau rang up 3 tackles for Georgetown. The Hoyas took it on the chin to the tune of a 55-0 thumping by Holy Cross.
