"Shoremen at
the Next Level"
September 15, 2007
We received a
medical update on Iowa
wideout Trey Stross this week. Trey is
out with a slightly torn hamstring complicated by some bleeding around the
nerve. He originally injured it in
training camp, but as he tried to practice through it, it just kept getting
worse. Trey should be starting back to
some light practice this week with a goal of being full speed for the Hawkeyes’
game with Indiana. Good luck Trey – everyone here in Shoremen
Country is pulling for you!
In Saturday’s
games:
·
Safety
Chris Rau racked up 10 tackles to lead the Georgetown defense, but it was not enough to
overcome Yale as the Hoyas dropped a hard-fought, 28-14 decision.
·
Andrew
Means caught three passes, helping the Indiana Hoosiers to a 41-24 win over Akron.
·
Mount Union safety Matt Kostelnik chipped in with
three tackles in the Raiders’ 58-14 stomping of Otterbein.
·
Jon
Schroeder scored on a four yard touchdown run but his Ashland Eagles lost to
Hillsdale by a 44-28 count
